Our newest destination...

Japan!!!

I have never been so excited in my entire life!! We, yes THE LOWE'S, will be moving to Okinawa Japan in April of 2010!!! NO, it's not California like we had planned BUT who wouldn't want to live on a tropical island???

So, this is my future home!!!

This Summer...

Since our accident I have just been really really busy...I don't think I really have had much time for anything especially blogging:)

I got a new car it's a 2008 Chevy Equinox with 30,000 miles on it and it's perfect. I am in LOVE with my new car. Presley is pretty excited about it as well...she "loves mommy's new car". We got it for a steal of a deal so that also helps, although now we have a car payment hopefully with my medical settlement it will kind of be taken care of. I'm not trying to make money off this accident i just really really want to break even.

Since the accident i have been working, taking summer classes, and Presley and I went to the beach for a week:) We had such a good time. She loves the water and the boardwalk, but this girl LOVES to ride rides:)We could have spent hours at Trempers riding rides!!! She is so brave and could ride them all by herself!!!

She is really growing up. She is like a little adult. I love spending time with her and just being around her. She is so so so smart. I have been contemplating putting her into a dance class, i think she would love it. She is so advanced and can speak in sentences and do just about everything by herself. She is left handed so it makes it difficult for us to color without our knocking elbows:) But she is at the perfect age although some days are terrible Tuesday, and whinny Wednesday, we definitely have more ups than downs!!!

Kevin is still at TBS until the first week in November. We find out what his job and where we will be stationed in October (fingers crossed). We really really miss him. Things are going great don't get me wrong but with him being away all week it is just getting hard. The weekends are never long enough:( But We are such a strong couple and will make it through this with us, as a family, only being stronger:) If that is even possible!! Kevin and I will be celebrating our three year wedding anniversary on September 8Th!!! I can't even believe we have been married for three years although it never seems that long when you are having fun:)

I start classes on the 28Th of Aug. I am actually really excited to get back to school although I'm sure this will change three/four weeks into the semester!! haha So wish me luck Phlebotomy certificate here i come, then nursing program not to long after that:)

That is about all the "new" news I have for the Lowe's. Hopefully I can start keeping everyone up to date!! (wishful thinking though)

Surviving:)

Everyday is a new day following this accident. I am so thankful that things have turned out the way that they have, my injuries are slowly but surely healing although a pinched nerve in my neck & severe headaches will probably plague my life for some time, I can only be grateful to be alive. Dealing with insurance agents and companies is a different story. I feel like everyone is on a different page, and I'm just totally in right field (go figure). I'm ready to settle this whole mess and just be done!!! But, to my disadvantage it doesn't work like that. I need a new car but don't even know where to begin, do I want a: used, new, SUV, sedan, front and rear air bags, sun roof, car payment, high-low mileage, what kind of highway/city mileage, low gas prices, high gas prices, car seat attachments, extended warranty, and the list goes on. I really didn't know I would have to think about all of this. & to top it all off I DON'T WANT TO GET TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF BY CAR DEALERS OR INSURANCE AGENTS. So, who knows what will come of things, only time will tell. Anyways we are headed to the Smithsburg carnival tonight:) Aunt Amanda is going to ride, rides with Pnut:) So exciting we love summer time!!!

The worst day of my life...

Thursday June 18Th has been probably the worst day of my entire life (thus far). It started out as normal I took Presley to Nana's house in Smithsburg then off to work. I got off around 3 and went to pick her back up in Smithsburg. I knew I had a few errands to run afterwards so I wanted to leave right away. As I hit the road with Presley strapped in the back I decided NOT to take the highway and turned onto Route 64 (Jefferson Ave.). As I passed the junk yard there is a road off to the right it is semi-perpendicular and there is a stop sign when coming in the opposite direction (reminder I DON'T have a stop sign). About 8 car lengths in front of me a silver civic decided to make the left hand turn, I thought he was cutting it awfully close when bam a red truck decided to make the same turn he didn't even stop at the sign and I slammed right into the back rear tire well of his car and then skidded onto the steep embankment. The air bag slammed into my face glass shattered EVERYWHERE. I was in total shock. I didn't know if Presley was OK or not because I couldn't hear anything. There was this loud buzzing noise in my ear and all I could shout was "get my baby out of the car" "where is my baby" again, I was in total shock. I couldn't believe that this had actually happened. Luckily, there were tons of people around to help especially an extremely nice man named Jim. He kept me calm and helped get Presley out of the car. I seriously think that Jim was sent there directly from God because without him I think things would have been alot worse. I finally was holding Presley but I was hurting so bad from the impact all I could do was cry. The police and ambulance and fire department finally got to the scene and things just got really crazy from there. I don't remember much but I knew I was hurt bad and needed to go to the hospital ASAP. I wasn't sure if Presley had been injured so the paramedics strapped her down to a back board and we were on our way to the hospital.

In the end I walked away with a sprained neck/shoulder/and back. Cuts on my hands and arms, and TONS of bruises. Presley seemed to be alright until she started having nightmares. All she can talk about is how the "big truck hit mommy's car, go BOOM" . I get teared up just thinking about how lucky we are to be alive. My car is totalled and I will be dealing with insurance companies for the next couple of weeks, BUT I am thankful that my daughter is alright and that I was able to walk away from the scene alive.

The driver of the other car was only 16 and he had 3 other people in the truck at the time. It is sad that an incident like this has to be a wake up call, but hopefully him and his friends decide to be better drivers because of our crash. & I hope something like this doesn't happen again.

If it's not one thing, it's another...

Wow, I feel like I start to do really good at keeping up with this thing then I completely falllllll apart:) or something comes up (as usual)!!!!

Kevin is off at TBS. So now we see Daddy on the weekends and hopefully I will start taking Presley down on Wednesdays to kind of break up the week a little. This is a lot harder than I thought and i'm so glad I have family and friends close by that are willing to help me out when needed!!! We just really miss him a lot and Presley really gives me a run for my money!! She is soooooooo bossy:) But we have been spending tons of quality time together!

So, my whole entire life I have had PERFECT teeth to say the least, no cavities, no major incidents, no nothing. I'm religious about going every six weeks to get my teeth cleaned and so this check up I ask the doctor about a tooth that had just seemed a little weird and he's like oh you need a ROOT CANAL!! WHAT?????????????? Then the day I go in for my root canal he tells me that he thinks the tooth on the other side needs a root canal and what do you know, IT DOES!! ughhh it has just been one thing after the other. So, I go in to get the first root canal and he can't find the nerve (it had calcified) so then I have to go see an Endodontist (what the heck!!!) :) I mean this is really going to cost me an arm and a leg!!!!! go figure as soon as you start to save a little cash it just all comes crashing down!! I would really like to know where you can buy a money tree and if they can plant it in my backyard??? :)

I have finals on the 14th and 16th which I am so nervous over!!!! 

& i'm praying that the swine flu doesn't come to this area because i'm sure i'd be the one to get it!!!

the new Christmas tree shop in Hagerstown is amazing if you have never heard of it look it up and GOOOO the name is totally deceiving!! it's almost as good and addicting as Target(nothing will ever take the place of Target BUTTTT)!!!!!!
